CodeMeter? Chalks up Another Win
During the Software Information Industry Association’s (SIIA) prestigious awards ceremony held this evening, Wibu-Systems was awarded the association’s coveted CODiE award for the Best Digital Rights Management System. Wibu-Systems received the award for developing the CodeMeter System, known for securing software, documentation, media and controlling access to internet based applications.

Wibu-Systems presents the first prototypes of a CompactFlash card with CodeMeter technology at Hannover Messe 2009
Karlsruhe – Starting in January 2008, Wibu-Systems AG, in conjunction with three other German companies and a research institute cooperated in the “Pro-Protect” project. The goal of the project was to investigate effective methods for protecting fabrication machinery against illegal duplication, product piracy and industrial spying. The focus was in protecting embedded software; because today nearly all production machines are running with programmed functionality.

CeBIT 2009: Wibu-Systems presents first prototype as SD Card for research project VitaBITT
Karlsruhe – Public health care and especially mobile home nursing care have to meet particular requirements: first, only those authorized should be allowed to access personal medical data. Also, the information exchanged between all parties (doctors, hospitals, care centers, and healthcare workers) has to be secure and efficient. Wibu-Systems AG, jointly with its partners in the research project VitaBIT, is developing a new, open and mobile platform for networking ambulatory care. The company presents the first prototypes of the security component in a form factor of a SD Card at the CeBIT 2009, in hall 11 at booth B41.

Wibu-Systems reports a significant increase in the demand for its ExpressCard? CmCard/E in the first six weeks of 2009. Software vendors use the CmCard/E card module that integrates CodeMeter? Digital Rights Management (DRM) technology under the ExpressCard form factor into PCs. The CodeMeter DRM system is a proven and highly flexible protection technology for digital products and has been well adopted by many software vendors since its introduction in 2003.
