New at CeBIT 2005: The new PIN Manager represses the flood of passwords automatically
The extensive use of the Internet by companies and individuals requires the use of access data such as passwords for the many different portals, including shopping, auctions, forums, chatting and of course online banking which is done using PINs and TANs. The CM-Stick offers an effective solution that is connected to the USB interface and allows storage of different access data with the help of the PIN Manager. CodeMeter - new version for usage on Linux
The new version 2.0 extends the scope of the Digital Rights Management solution CodeMeter by Wibu-Systems. The software author can now use the CodeMeter tool for copy protection of software on both Windows and, for the first time, Linux. The principle behind Code Meter is a one-off purchase by the end users. They can get the required use of rights of up to 1,000 different software packages or digital contents from any manufacturer via the Internet, store them in the hardware and use them offline. This process means the author has a convenient and secure way of distributing the software via the Internet without the need to ship the hardware itself.

Newly founded working group SEMUCS develops a secure standard for content in the field of music
The start of the Musikmesse in Frankfurt, Germany, on March 31, 2004 was simultaneously the foundation date of the working group SEMUCS (Secure Music Content Standard) where its international members met. The aim of SEMUCS is the creation of a new common copy protection standard for music content. This year, numerous companies in the fields of music content, music software, Digital Rights Management, sales channel and e-commerce are working in concert to create a new standard including different requirements and ideas. The standard will be implemented in such a way that it protects sample content in computer based, or soft samplers. Complete pieces of music or MP3 files don't belong to this standard.
